We also have the largest HP R&D Lab outside of the US and a fantastic Demo center.

We are looking for a Project Mgr/Operation team lead for our 3D Digital Manufacturing Section. He/she is expected to have a solid manufacturing/operations background with a versatile skillset to manage projects, special initiatives, technical topics related to engineering or SW, local & remote manufacturing as well as leading teams.

The selected candidate will be part of the Digital Manufacturing Section within the 3D GBU Operations team. He/she will partner with R&D, business, and manufacturing service provider teams to successfully deliver new 3D parts to worldwide customers/partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management for new 3D application projects that are ongoing or under incubation. Lead the definition and implementation of the E2E manufacturing strategy covering all the areas of the operations ecosystem (Factory Processes, Test & Tools, Inbound & Outbound SC, etc.) in order to achieve the key Ops goals for the application at intro: cost, time to market, volumes availability and efficiency/stability.
  • Resources planning and management: size the Ops extended resources required during program development and stabilization, understanding organization dynamics/constraints. Agree on resources allocation with management team and deploy/breakdown to them objectives and deliverables. Active leadership of Ops team, detecting needs, arising gaps, and ensuring efficiency and right focus towards program/business objectives.
  • Ops deliverables to 3D application businesses: As active member of program Business Team, he/she will ensure the Ops deliverables in each phase of the PLC are met, from influencing in early phase, to leading initial production trials, ramp management and normal production. He/she needs to integrate efficiently deliverables of all Ops disciplines
  • Technical and project management for factory IT projects, which is a key initiative for the internal applications factories
  • Critical business initiatives: He/she will be accountable of the program definition and implementation, including resource allocation agreement within the organization, budget management, program schedule & execution tracking and regular communication to stakeholders.
  • Define, plan, and support the setup of new factories, worldwide or particularly in Asia: Execute all this work together with our internal and external partners.

Education and Experience:

  • Diploma, Bachelor or Maters degree in Engineering
  • More than 5 years of experience in factories and operations, ideally in 3D or additive manufacturing or advanced factories.
  • Process/production control, operations, or quality knowhow.
  • Experience or knowledge on factory IT systems, production principles, process equipment functions, quality systems, etc.
  • Relevant experience interacting with other functions (e.g. R&D, IT, SW, planning, SC, etc.).
  • Having gone at least through one complete product development cycle

  • Customer centric: understands customer needs and use them as criteria to decide on his/her area of responsibility.
  • Solid technical background: Combination of technical knowledge in some areas (ME/EW/FW/SW) and knowledge of some of main operations key processes (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Planning, Distribution, Factory setup, Service)
  • Project Management skills: Able to orchestrate structured plan to face challenges, deploy cross-organizational implementation plans, timely track progress, identify deviations and proactively take corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to convey key message to different stakeholders (Ops, program, upper management), covering organization in geographically dispersed.
  • Network and influence: develop a good network that allows him/her to overcome issues, get faster alignment, combining the ability to influence in relevant decisions out of his/her control.
  • Change management: capacity to detect and adapt to changes in organizations, support and develop plans to make required changes towards higher efficiency.
  • Results and performance driven stretching goals and clear timelines, meticulous actions tracking and “can do” attitude to overcome roadblocks.
  • Business sense: Understanding of business needs beyond Operations functions, capacity to make recommendations considering broad business perspective.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • IT skills are highly valued.
