Valmet is a leading global developer and supplier of technologies, automation and services especially for industries that use bio-based raw materials, primarily the pulp, paper and energy industries as well as selected process industries. Our goal is to become the global champion in serving our customers.
We are currently looking for a Buyer to manage global procurement services for Spain during the implementation of a new ERP system for business management in our company. You will be part of our professional Procurement team, reporting to our local Team Leader.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Responsible for maintaining and following up the assigned KPI’s for the procurement targets in Spain as part of EMEA Implement Valmet procurement strategy and requirements in terms of quality, price and availability and develop procurement processes Manage operative purchases of sub-contracted parts, components and shut down labor for EMEA: send purchase orders to suppliers and follow-up on time deliveries, support for logistic process, revision of non-compliance cases, upload database Co-operation with suppliers and internal stakeholders Ensure our competitive position in the market in terms & conditions Support the implementation of the new global ERP system
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar High level of English. Ability to communicate both written and orally 2 years of working experience in an Industrial Procurement role is required. Experience in a multinational company will be an asset Quick decision-making ability Ability to work in a team, as well as the ability to work autonomously Enthusiasm to resolve problems, using your initiative where necessary Advance skills in using MS Office tools, particularly Excel / Outlook / Teams. Experience with ERP such as SAP will be valued Knowledge of paper industry will be an advantage Willingness to travel <10%
