R&D Materials Application Internship en Sant Cugat del Vallès

The HP Barcelona site hosts the HP Large Format Printing & 3D Multi Jet Fusion printing business, having the responsibility for the Research and Development (R&D), Marketing and Operations for it. Join a creative and dynamic R&D team working on leading edge printing technology!

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team as a R&D Materials Application Intern. The project scope for this role is about market and technical research on sustainable and innovative materials for large formal digital printing.

Understand the key technological drivers, market drivers, key players (material manufacturer and partners), to be able to define and guide next roadmap decisions on sustainable and innovative applications.

The R&D Materials Application Intern will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

• Paper research on key technologies and materials for digital printing.
• Technology centers conversations to understand key materials trends for future in digital printing.
• Study the relation between material composition and its environmental impact and recyclability.
• Web partner research and meetings/technical conversations with key stakeholders.
• Key material sustainability /recyclability trends.
• Qualitative report defining key trends on material sustainability and materials innovation for digital printing.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Currently studying Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Materials, or simlar fields.
• Availability to establish internship agreement with University during 9-12 months, either on a part-time or full-time basis.
• Availability to start between September 2020 – October 2020
• Understanding & solid knowledge on materials (Polymer, plastic, etc)
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Understanding & solid knowledge on Sustainability / recyclability will be a plus.
• Proactive, wiling to have an E2E view: dual technical and market understanding.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
