Amazon is looking for a talented, driven, and highly analytical Instock & Supply Chain Manager with proven experience driving process improvement and partnering with vendors.

The Manager will lead identifying, creating, developing and integrating innovative solutions and programs that drive improvements in the way we manage inventory.

A successful candidate in this role will focus on delivering improvements in automation, partnerships with vendors to improve operations while continuously improving operational metrics for the business to support the growth and scale of the category.

In this role you play a significant role in driving efficient use of Amazon’s capital through effective inventory management, vendor relationships, operational and supply-chain excellence. The Manager accomplishes this by applying data driven decisions, leading continuous process improvements, driving system and process automation with key internal teams, and maintaining a deep knowledge of the product line and its customers. You will be a thought leader by influencing others to take action through scalable systems and processes, rather than just addressing issues. You own identifying and driving these improvements across the business segment.

You will partner with functional peers in setting the business’ long range strategic plans and 3-year financial plan. You will possess direct knowledge of all retail functions (vendor management, demand, and finance) and be capable of acting as a proxy for the catlead in high level meetings with both internal and external executives. We view this role as a stepping stone to being promoted to bigger and more complex roles within Amazon Retail.


Strong understanding of data and demonstrated success in driving processes are required. The successful candidate must possess the ability to operate from a company-wide perspective and have a successful track record of driving cross-functional engagement and cross-business project development. The ideal candidate will excel in scalable process improvement, people management, analytics, written/verbal communication and influencing others. The candidate will have proven experience delivering results by partnering with and influencing others. The individual will operate at all levels (strategic & tactical) and integrate strong and clear analysis and business rationale into sound decision making.

Specifically, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a breadth and depth of knowledge allowing him/her to successfully execute the following:

· Optimizing customer experience by ensuring Amazon has the right product quantities, in the right places, at the right time.
· Determining inventory strategies and leading the team to execute on them optimizing sales, margins, turns and inventory health.
· Monitoring, analyzing and owning key performance indicators such as FT, procurement lead time (PLT), fill rate, forecast accuracy and turns.
· Expert on optimizing forecasts, planning, and procurement parameters.
· Partnering with Supply Chain to communicate and plan the operational impact of planning and sourcing decisions.
· Demonstrating good judgment and establishing the right goals & priorities.
· Providing direction for recruiting, and participating in training, on-boarding and mentoring.
· Establishing and maintaining strong vendor operational relationships leading to vendor compliance and project improvements
· Fostering global relationships with internal development teams and contributing towards the development and refinement of Amazon’s buying tools and systems.

REQUISITOS BÁSICOS


· Bachelor’s/Master degree in Engineering, Management, Economics, Maths and similar.
· 3/4+ years of relevant experience as a strategy consultant or in inventory planning, operations/supply chain management and/or finance in FMCG, Operations, complex business environment.
· Exceptional leadership experience including, building and scaling teams.
· Proficient in Excel.
· Strong understanding of data and demonstrated success in driving processes are required.

REQUISITOS DESEADOS

· 3+ years of relevant experience in inventory planning, operations/supply chain management and/or finance
· MBA with relevant business experience
· Relevant senior level experience in retail, operations, and/or business management with a proven history of delivering results
· Proven experience leading teams & cross-functional projects
· Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
· Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
· Highly polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting and negotiating
· Strong track record of recruiting, hiring and developing talent
· Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes
