Job Background:

The HP Graphics Services and Solutions Organization offers HP Service Advantage, an integrated portfolio of services that enables predictable printing operations and optimized cost structure. It allows our customers to maximize press uptime, increase productivity, and grow their business.

The HP EMEA Graphics Academy is part of GSS is aiming to accelerate our customer’s understanding in a professional environment with hands-on learning that includes hardware, digital front end, and specialty classes. Our team delivers both training and ramp-up/production support, key roles in enabling our customers to start production and maximize their HP Indigo digital presses. We also train our own customer engineers, application engineers and remote support engineers.

Our team has the learning, presentation and technical skills to understand, explain, transmit and verify knowledge on the complex Indigo printing products, digital production cycle, including prepress, workflow, finishing etc.

Job Description:

The HP Indigo EMEA Graphics Academy (training center) is looking for candidates for a position as CE Trainer that will:

  • Deliver training to customer operators and field service engineers, on 1 of the Indigo platforms.
  • Collaborate with trusted partners (GBU, GTM or Service) to develop engaging content suitable for a variety of delivery methods (Face-to-face, webinar, self-paced or mobile learning)
  • Optimize press working parameters, according to customer production needs, in consideration of the press technology, specifications, finishing, business goals and production line end to end
  • Address customer needs in a quick manner that is in line with the company mission, values and financial objectives
  • Be able to provide best practices for: press, consumables, maintenance, workflow, color management, applications, finishing, troubleshooting
  • Maintain the training center environment to a production standard employing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, to ensure readiness of our press fleet (Maintenance, break/fix), for training delivery.
  • From time to time, undertake production support, support installations and break-fix cases.
  • Manage his/hers and the department’s knowledge development and sharing
  • Maintain a good atmosphere, professional business relationships and communication with all stakeholders: customers, service, sales, category, marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • EMEA CE trainer, mainly focused on customer & engineer training, but can be extended to other activities
  • Knowledge development, sharing and distribution
  • NPI management:
    • lead and collaborate with the EMEA functions the introduction of new products & changes in the indigo products portfolio
    •  Provide feedback to GBU that is relevant for improving the customer experience concerning the product, training and course materials

Skills Required:

  • Minimum Diploma/Associate Degree – we are particularly interested in candidates with:
    • Degree in Printing Technology/Graphic Arts (technical) OR,
    • Degree in Science in Engineering / Paper Science & Print Media OR,
    • Other Engineering degrees (mechanical/industrial/electronics)
  • Experience with HP indigo, other digital print technologies as Customer Engineer or other technical supporting activities.
  • Valid experience: car manufacturing or other industries that require mechanical, electronics knowledge and skills.
  • Capable of independent & self-sustained working mode
  • Ability to function under pressure, facing customers/engineers on a daily basis
  • Self-learner & good training capability
  • Proficient level of English, other language(s) (French, Spanish, Italian or German) would be an advantage
  • Excellent customer engagement & communication skills
  • Excellent Technical skills & experience, interested in a technical career and growth path
  • Preferred location: western Europe
  • Basic skills in project management

Travel Requirements:

  • Traveling expected to be around 30%.  
  • Willingness for immediate response.
