Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Solutions Architect to help our customers build solutions using Microsoft development tools and technologies. This is a highly technical position for someone who can dive deep, build cloud-optimized architectures and help to develop a strategy with AWS business development teams. In this role this person will help customers with best practices for developing .NET and/or C# applications on AWS. You will get the opportunity to work directly with senior engineers and AWS service teams, help influencing their roadmaps and driving innovation.

Candidates should have a broad and deep set of skills that can be leveraged. Experience working directly with customers is required. A background in software development is required and previous AWS experience is preferred. Strong public speaking and writing skills are required. In this role, candidates will also have the opportunity to write white papers, deliver technical webinars, and speak at events.

· The right candidate has solid experience coding in a modern programming language such as C# or .NET (preferred), Java, Javascript, Python, PHP or others.
· 5+ years of experience designing, developing, shipping and debugging software services and applications using Microsoft technologies
· Expertise with one or more common workloads including Active Directory, SQL, SharePoint, Exchange, Lync/Skype for Business, or System Center.
· The successful candidate will have spent a significant amount of their career in customer facing roles and a proven record of effective collaborations across multiple internal organizations and interactions with partner and customers.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must.
· BA/BS degree required; Computer Science, Math or Technical background highly desired; Advanced Degree a plus.
· Some travel will be required

· The right person will be highly technical and analytical, possess experience of implementation/consulting experience in the software or internet industries
· Possess strong experience of using Microsoft applications.
· Strong knowledge of information security best practices
· Experience with data center networks and network topologies
· Expert software architecture skills and experience building complex software systems
· Relevant experience deploying enterprise applications on Microsoft Windows
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
· Degree is required; working knowledge of software development practices and technologies highly desired.
· Previous experience with Amazon Web Services a plus.
· Experience working with IT ops or developer communities.
