SEU Transportation Scheduling Specialist Overview
Amazon’s Transportation team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to help support & develop a world class transportation network that delivers our freight on time and at the best possible cost. Our team’s objective is to design and implement routing solutions for freight flowing through and between our European fulfillment centers. This position will manage the daily execution of the schedules, refreshing updated forecasts, reflected on planned vs actual & maintaining important input files. In addition this position will be an integral member of the line haul scheduling team responsible for the scheduling and management of all Amazon line haul movements

An ideal candidate should be able to understand the issue and be able to drive Customer Experience without compromising on time. The candidate should have the basic understanding of Logistics and should be able to communicate clearly in the verbal and written form. The candidate should be able to recommend process improvements and should have the passion to drive them to conclusion. Also should show ownership and can do repetitive tasks.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Refreshing daily forecasts & adjusting schedules to improve scheduling accuracy, driving cost down
· Maintain input files that support scheduling tools, showing great attention to detail
· Maintaining audits on system configurations
· Uploading and auditing weekly schedules
· Daily & weekly deep dives into planned vs actual to drive improvements
· Using data-driven decisions to achieve daily operational excellence and to help meet metric targets
· Leverage quantitative analysis to identify best practices to improve customer experience, cost & network efficiency
· Liaise with sites to drive improvements & understanding within the network

To be successful in this role, you need the ability to be an effective communicator to various audiences, show ownership and carry out repetitive tasks on weekly basis. The ability to remain flexible and adapt to learning new tools and systems is instrumental in your role on the team. Our environment is deadline driven, fast paced, and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable interacting and working with multiple teams.

Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree (or higher / Equivalent) required
· 1+ years of previous experience in a similar role in Logistics or Transportation operations
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Advanced computer proficiency in Excel
· Fluent in English
· Should be comfortable with a multi-tasking, high-energy environment. Should be creative and analytical problem solver with a passion to provide excellent customer service

Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in Logistics or Transportation.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
