Amazon is currently looking for a highly motivated, forward-thinking Carrier Sourcing Leas to join the Transportation team.

The role represents a critical function with Amazon EU Operations to continuously improve the service levels, capacities, and costs of the EU Transportation Line Haul to ensure promises to the customers are being maintained.

Your team's responsibilities:
· Lead capacity tenders, suggest the allocation based on service, price, and carriers development plans
· review regional hot-spot attainment and on-boarding metrics, missed opportunity analysis,
· Work closely transportation managers in case of defects to identify the root cause and define an action plan
· Utilize multiple databases and systems to deliver accurate metrics, reporting and analytics to measure effectiveness of supply and cost savings
· Define and follow the agreed service level agreements (SLA) for standard tasks
· Act as central point of contact for external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support and warehouse)
· Focus on ensuring that operational KPIs and capacity needs are met (such as transporter on boarding, attainment, active vs on-boarded transporters conversion rate)
· Maintain a clear audit trail of procurement activities and guarantee spending are aligned with the forecasts
· Operate with autonomy, showing proactive attitude and taking ownership of tasks and making decisions in a fast-changing environment
· Prioritize requirements, highlight any missing information and risks to business
· Build and maintain a solid pipeline for transporters making sure they are meeting our internal compliance expectations and legal requirements
· Identify savings opportunities (e.g. through spend analysis) and partner with Transportation Managers to deliver savings through tenders/negotiations/contract renewals
· Execute complex capacity management plans
· Review trends and report any deviation from the rate in pricing tool vs the current market rate

· A degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Mathematics or similar field
· Working experience ideally gained in operation/supply chain/technical procurement
· Experienced people manager
· Excellent Customer Service skills and commercial understanding
· Negotiations/logistics procurement skills/tender management experience
· Performance Management experience
· Capacity management / forecasting skills
· Contract Management experience
· Planning and analytical skills
· Fluent in English with Excellent written skills (additional EU language would be a plus)
· Ability to communicate across all management levels
· Advanced computer proficiency in Excel

· Previous experience similar role within a logistics provider or retailer
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sophisticated projects and competing priorities simultaneously
· Demonstrated skills in writing narrative
· proven track record of delivering results in large, cross-functional initiatives
· Experience with SQL
